Building capacity of local actors
With our project we are building the capacity of civil society organisations (CSOs) working for women’s human rights and gender equality. 60 experienced CSOs around the world have been selected by Women2030. They have previously participated in the Women2030’s partner’s projects and are experienced in policy advocacy. These CSOs have received training by the Women2030 partners on becoming effective trainers and mentors to other CSOs within their countries. The topics of their training includes gender, equality, women’s human rights, 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
These gender trainers will in turn train 200 member CSOs; women and gender equality focused CSOs from their partner networks. These 200 member CSOs will train 2,000 local civil society, community based and grassroots organisations. Aiming at reaching 10,000 thousands of local women beneficiaries globally by the end of the project in 2020.
