WECF organised the regional meeting of the Women2030 project in Batumi, back to back with the 8th Ministerial Environment for Europe Conference, Georgia.
The EECCA (Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia) regional meeting of the Women2030 project, the first of four regional meetings for the project, took place in Batumi, Georgia, June 6 and 7, back to back with the EfE Ministerial Conference “Environment for Europe” in Batumi.
The ECCAA regional meeting brought together gender experts and gender- and environment focused civil society organisations from Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia and focussed on implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In particular, the meeting provided an introduction to the Women2030 project, introduction to the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and the role of civil society in the SDGs process, including the challenges and opportunities in the EECCA and EU region.
