Women Environmental Programme (WEP) Nigeria, and WECF organised a high-level meeting in Abuja, Nigeria on Gender, Chemicals and Waste, on 10-12 of January 2018.
50 delegates from the Ministries of Environment and Women, the National Environment Agency (NESREA), UN agencies and Civil Society Organisations were invited to watch the film on gender, chemicals and waste, produced with the Secretariat of the BRS Conventions.
The film presentation was followed by a panel discussion on how all actions of the Ministries and Agencies can be made gender-responsive, and what should be the priorities for next steps to be undertaken (see powerpoint enclosed (as PDF)). The entire event was covered on national TV.
